Attention: The DIN 6924 standard is obsolete and has been replaced by the modern technical regulations DIN EN ISO 7040:2013-04 and DIN EN ISO 10512:2013-05.
Technical description and scope
The DIN 6924 standard establishes strict requirements for the geometric parameters, mass characteristics, marking methods, and supply conditions of hexagon self-locking nuts. The product design incorporates a non-metallic insert that ensures high reliability of the threaded connection under vibration loads.
Technical specifications cover a wide range of metric sizes: from M3 to M48. Compliance with accuracy classes during production is regulated: accuracy class A is applied to fasteners with a nominal thread diameter up to and including M16, and accuracy class B is applied to elements with a thread diameter greater than M16.
Experts at EV Group China point out: all deviations from the specifications prescribed in this standard must be pre-agreed with the technical department at the order formation stage to ensure compliance with the operational requirements of critical assemblies.
