Attention: the DIN 1015 standard has been officially withdrawn and replaced by the current industrial regulation DIN EN 10061:2004-02.
Technical Regulation and Scope
This regulatory document defines the technical requirements for hot-rolled hexagonal steel bars. The specification covers straight bars with a nominal “wrench size” from 13 to 103 mm. Products supplied by EV Group China fully comply with the geometric parameters established for this type of rolled product, ensuring stability of characteristics during further mechanical processing.
It is important to note that this standard does not apply to hexagonal wire rod in coils, the requirements for which are regulated by the DIN 59 110 standard.
Engineers and technicians at EV Group China use these tolerance tables to ensure high precision for mating parts. Nominal wrench sizes and their corresponding cross-sectional geometry deviations are presented below.
| Nominal Size (mm) | Permissible Deviations (mm) |
|---|---|
| 13–18 | ± 0.4 |
| 19–30 | ± 0.5 |
| 32–50 | ± 0.6 |
| 52–80 | ± 0.8 |
| 85–103 | ± 1.0 |
