Important note: The DIN 30671 standard has been archived and officially replaced by the current regulatory documents DIN EN 10289:2004-08 and DIN EN 10290:2004-08. EV Group China specialists recommend using the current standards when designing new pipeline systems.
Technical requirements and scope of DIN 30671
This standard, included in the DIN Handbook 143 collection, regulates technical requirements and test protocols for factory-applied thermosetting polymer coatings (epoxy compounds, polyurethanes, polyurethane compositions with tar additives) applied to steel pipe products. The coatings provide reliable anti-corrosion protection in a wide range of operating conditions.
The classification of coatings according to the standard is based on temperature ranges:
- Type N (Normal): intended for standard pipeline operation at constant operating temperatures of up to +30 ˚C.
- Type S (Special): developed for specialized engineering tasks where the transported medium has an operating temperature of up to +70 ˚C.
The scope of application includes both underground main pipelines subject to aggressive soil corrosion and underwater sections requiring increased coating adhesion and chemical resistance to the aquatic environment. EV Group China provides the supply of steel pipes with high-quality anti-corrosion coating that meets modern global safety and durability standards.
