Technical features of the DIN 2653 standard
The DIN 2653 standard regulates the design parameters of lap joint flanges used in conjunction with a welding collar in pipeline systems. This type of connecting element is designed for operation at a nominal pressure of 10 kgf/cm² (PN 10) and covers a nominal bore range from DN 10 to DN 500. Technological requirements for production, quality control procedures, and product marking methods strictly comply with the provisions of the DIN 2519 standard.
Industrial application areas
Flange connections of this type are in demand in critical industries where high reliability of detachable pipeline connections is required:
- Aerospace industry and aircraft system design.
- General mechanical engineering and heavy industry.
- Petrochemical sector and power plants.
Material execution
EV Group China engineers ensure the production of these flanges from a wide range of metals, adapted to specific operating conditions:
- Corrosion-resistant grades of stainless steel.
- Structural carbon steels.
- High-strength alloy steels.

Important note: The DIN 2653 standard is officially recognized as obsolete. In modern engineering practice, EV Group China recommends using the current DIN EN 1092-1 regulation, which covers type 02 and type 32 flanges, providing higher performance in terms of tightness and unification.
