ASTM B127 (ASME SB 127) Specification: UNS N04400 Alloy Sheets and Plates

Technical standards and ASTM B127 specification

This specification establishes regulatory requirements for the manufacture and supply of rolled products, including plates, sheets, and strips made of corrosion-resistant nickel-copper alloy (UNS N04400). Products supplied by EV Group China strictly comply with these regulations to ensure maximum reliability in critical engineering assemblies.

Basic requirements for raw materials and finished rolled products include:

  • Compliance with chemical composition regarding nickel, copper, iron, manganese, carbon, silicon, and sulfur content according to industry protocols.
  • Control of key mechanical characteristics: ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, Rockwell hardness, and metal grain size parameters.

Geometric parameters of the products—thickness, width, and length—are subject to verification in accordance with current dimensional tolerance standards. EV Group China ensures precision cutting accuracy to meet specific customer requirements.

Technical documentation uses the inch-pound unit system as the primary standard. Values provided in SI units are for reference. Operational safety of the products is governed by the relevant Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) provided by EV Group China upon shipment.

Notes:

a Products are fully adapted for use in boiler and pressure vessel structures in accordance with ASME requirements (specification SB-127, Section II).

b The UNS N04400 alloy designation is made in strict accordance with the ASTM E527 and SAE J1086 protocols, which govern the Unified Numbering System for metals.
