Technical features of screws according to EN ISO 8765 standard
The international standard EN ISO 8765 regulates the production and technical delivery conditions for high-strength hexagon head screws featuring fine-pitch metric threads. This fastener is a key component in assemblies requiring high joint reliability, resistance to vibration loads, and precise tightening adjustments.
EV Group China engineers emphasize that the choice of this standard is justified by the need for precision assembly in mechanical engineering. The screws comply with:
- Accuracy class A: for nominal thread diameters from 8 to 24 mm inclusive, with a length up to 10 diameters or 150 mm.
- Accuracy class B: for nominal diameters over 24 mm or for lengths exceeding the limits set for class A.
The range of nominal thread diameters is from 8 to 64 mm. The use of a fine thread pitch according to the EN ISO 8765 standard increases the contact area of the threads, which is critical for preventing self-loosening in highly loaded dynamic structures.
For specific operating conditions requiring non-standard geometric parameters or special material characteristics, EV Group China recommends using additional international specifications harmonized with the requirements of the ISO system.
