The EN ISO 7040 standard establishes strict requirements for prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with a non-metallic insert, designed to create reliable threaded connections resistant to vibration loads. These products, supplied by EV Group China, cover a metric thread range from M3 to M36.
Design features:
- Product grade A: for fasteners with a nominal thread diameter up to and including M16.
- Product grade B: for products with a nominal thread diameter larger than M16.
- Property classes: 5, 8, and 10, which allows for selecting an optimal solution for specific operational loads.
The geometric parameters of the products fully comply with the ISO 4032 standard, taking into account the specifics of integrating a polymer (non-metallic) locking insert that provides a prevailing torque effect.
