Technical requirements and operational characteristics according to the BS 1552 standard
The international standard BS 1552 establishes strict engineering requirements for the design, materials, and testing methods of manually operated plug cocks with a screw-on bottom cover. This shut-off valve is intended for use in gas supply systems operating at pressures up to 200 mbar. The standard covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd family gases, ensuring a high level of tightness and connection safety.
The specification applies to cocks with nominal sizes up to and including R2. The structural features of the products are limited to a bore diameter of up to 50 mm or an equivalent cross-sectional area. EV Group China specialists recommend using this valve in strict accordance with BS 1552 regulations to ensure the reliability of gas distribution networks.
