Technical specifications and application of ISO 7094 washers
The ISO 7094 standard establishes requirements for plain washers with an increased outer diameter, belonging to product grade C. These fasteners are characterized by a nominal hardness of 100 HV and are intended for use in connections that require load distribution over the bearing surface, especially when working with soft materials such as wood.
The technical parameters of the products cover a range of nominal thread diameters from 5 to 36 mm. Due to the increased contact area, these series washers minimize the risk of damaging the surface of the fastening assembly.
Compatibility and operating regulations
EV Group China engineers recommend using ISO 7094 washers in the following assembly configurations:
- In combination with hexagon head bolts and screws of product grade C, with a property class up to 6.8 inclusive.
- Paired with hexagon nuts of product grade C, corresponding to property classes up to 6 inclusive.
If it is necessary to select fasteners with sizes not included in the ISO 7094 specification, one should be guided by the regulatory data set out in the ISO 887 standard, which defines general tolerances and geometric parameters for plain washers for various purposes.
