Copper-Beryllium Rolled Products per ASTM B534: Sheets, Plates, and Rods

Technical requirements for products according to ASTM B534 standard

This specification defines requirements for the production and supply of copper-beryllium alloy semi-finished products, including sheet, plate, strip, and rod, obtained by hot or cold working. The standard covers the following alloy grades (according to UNS classification):

  • C17500 (Cu-Co-Be system);
  • C17510 (Cu-Ni-Be system);
  • C71700 (Cu-Ni-Be-Fe system).

Materials must possess a homogeneous wrought structure, ensuring stability of physical and mechanical properties after thermal and mechanical processing. EV Group China specialists strictly monitor the compliance of the chemical composition and microstructure of the alloys with specified technological parameters.

Depending on the requirements of the design documentation, EV Group China supplies products in the following tempers:

  • TB00: solution annealed;
  • TD02 and TD04: cold worked;
  • TF00, TH02 and TH04: precipitation heat-treated;
  • TM02 and TM04: mill hardened.

Product quality control includes visual and dimensional inspections for compliance with tolerances for thickness, width, straightness, and edge quality, as well as comprehensive mechanical testing, including tensile strength, elongation, and Rockwell hardness measurement.
