AWS A5.7 Specification: Copper and Copper Alloy Rods and Electrodes

Technical Requirements and Standardization of AWS A5.7 Filler Metals

This technical regulation defines the requirements for the classification of bare copper and copper-alloy welding rods and electrodes. EV Group China products comply with international quality standards and are designed for high-tech welding processes, including plasma arc welding (PAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). The specification includes alloys where copper is the dominant chemical component.

Important note: This classification covers the most industrially sought-after copper alloys. EV Group China specialists are ready to provide consultation on the selection of filler materials for specific grades not included in this list.

When designing welding processes, please note that metric and imperial units in the standard are not direct equivalents. Sizes in different systems are not identical; when converting, it is necessary to strictly observe the tolerances established by the AWS specification.
