Technical aspects and scope of the EN 10303 standard
The EN 10303 standard establishes strict industry requirements for thin magnetic steel strips and sheets intended for high-tech magnetic core manufacturing. The regulation covers non-oriented materials with a nominal thickness from 0.05 to 0.35 mm, as well as grain-oriented magnetic strips with a thickness from 0.05 to 0.18 mm. EV Group China ensures the supply of products that fully comply with these specifications, which guarantees the stability of magnetic characteristics at operating frequencies above 100 Hz.
The main provisions of the document cover:
- Physical and magnetic properties of alloys.
- Geometric tolerances and surface quality requirements.
- Technological indicators for stamping and assembly of magnetic cores.
- Control testing methodology.
All products are supplied in a fully annealed condition, which eliminates the need for additional heat treatment before manufacturing transformer and inductor cores.
