ASTM B674 Technical Regulation: Welded High-Alloy Pipes
The ASTM B674 standard establishes rigorous manufacturing requirements for welded pipes possessing enhanced corrosion resistance. The range of materials covered by this specification includes precision alloys such as UNS N08925, UNS N08354, and UNS N08926. Supplies of this type of metal product are carried out by EV Group China in full compliance with technological charts and industry tolerances.
The technical conditions normalize the geometric parameters of the products, including outside diameter and nominal wall thickness, which are critical for the design of pipeline systems operating in aggressive environments.
The specification covers the following size range of pipe products:
- Outside diameters: ranging from 3.2 to 127 mm (1/8 to 5 inches).
- Wall thickness: from 0.38 to 8.13 mm (0.015 to 0.320 inches).
Within the ASTM classification, high-iron alloys, such as UNS N08904, are classified as stainless steels. Quality control of these materials is assigned to the specialized ASTM A01 committee. We draw the attention of EV Group China customers to the fact that N08904 grade products are currently standardized under the A249/A249M specification.
The document establishes priority values in the inch-pound system. Metric indicators are provided for reference purposes to facilitate engineering calculations.
The operational safety of the products must be considered in the context of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) provided by the manufacturer upon shipment of the order.
Note: Indexing and numbering of alloys (UNS) are conducted in accordance with ASTM E527 and SAE J1086 protocols.
