Technical features and applications of ASTM B725 pipes
The ASTM B725 (ASME SB 725) specification establishes strict requirements for the production of welded pipes made from low-carbon nickel alloys (UNS N02200, UNS N02201) and nickel-copper alloys of the Monel type (N04400). Products supplied by EV Group China are designed for operation in extreme temperature conditions and environments with high corrosive activity.
The manufacturing process excludes the use of filler materials during welding. To ensure metal structure uniformity and high resistance to intergranular corrosion in the heat-affected zone, pipes undergo cold deformation followed by heat treatment (annealing or quenching and tempering).
The main areas of implementation for these products include:
- Design of critical engineering components in the chemical and petrochemical industry.
- Production of elements for high-precision thermostatic systems.
- Creation of reliable components for industrial electric heating systems.
The product range covers sizes corresponding to Schedules 5S, 10S, and 40S according to the ANSI B36.19 standard. EV Group China ensures the supply of both standard-sized pipes and products with custom geometric parameters that fully comply with the physical and chemical requirements of this specification.
Important note: Wall thicknesses for schedules 5S and 10S do not allow for standard threading according to ANSI B1.20.1.
All values in the imperial measurement system are standard for this specification. Metric equivalents are for reference only. Industrial safety issues during operation are governed by internal plant protocols and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) provided by EV Group China.
