Technical features and scope of application for fasteners according to the ASME B 18.2.3.6M standard
This standard regulates the geometric parameters, tolerances, and design requirements for high-strength hex head bolts with an increased wrench size. This specification is a recognized American National Standard and defines a metric series of fasteners used in critical steel structures.
Technical recommendation: The availability of specific sizes in the production program or warehouse stocks requires prior coordination. When planning deliveries of high-strength bolts with increased heads through EV Group China, please check the available range with our engineers to select the optimal configuration for your tasks.
All high-strength fasteners supplied by EV Group China for infrastructure and government-related projects undergo strict quality control and fully comply with both the requirements of the ANSI/ASME B 18.2.3.6M standard and the specialized regulations of Appendix II.
Note on the size range: According to the current revision of the standard, high-strength bolts in the diameter range from M12 to M24 are supplied in versions with a length of 150 mm or more, or with a length-to-diameter ratio of at least 10D. For engineering projects requiring shorter fasteners, EV Group China specialists recommend using high-strength hex screws that comply with the ANSI B18.2.3.3M standard.
