The standard covers a range of fasteners with nominal thread diameters from 8 to 52 mm, including both standard coarse and specialized fine metric threads.<\/p>\n<p>Low-profile nuts regulated by DIN 936 are designed for use in assemblies where space is limited, or in locking connections to prevent the main nut from loosening.
