The regulation was adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense and serves as the baseline for the production of sheet, plate, and strip products for critical engineering structures.<\/p>\n<h2>Scope of the ASTM A480 \/ A480M Specification<\/h2>\n<p>This EV Group China specification defines the general quality control and acceptance parameters for products covered by ASTM A240 \/ A240M, A263, A264, A265, A666, A693, A793, and A895 standards. Unless otherwise specified in the order, the provisions of A480 are mandatory for implementation at all stages of metallurgical production.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of a conflict between the requirements of a specific product specification and this standard, the product specification requirements take precedence. In cases where purchase order conditions are more stringent than the baseline standards, the order prevails, provided it does not violate regulated testing and quality control methods.<\/p>\n<p>The standard operates with two independent measurement systems: inch-pound and SI. According to EV Group China rules, the values in each system are independent and are not subject to direct conversion.
