The MSS SP-95 standard is a key regulatory document defining technical requirements for geometry, tolerances, machining methods, marking rules, and the selection of steel grades for connecting fittings. The scope of the standard includes hot-forged nipples (equipped with male or female threads for end connections) in the size range from NPS 1\/4 to NPS 12, as well as special reinforced bull plugs (solid or socket-weld) in the range from NPS 1\/8 to NPS 12.<\/p>\n
