Technical requirements according to API 5LD standard
This technical documentation regulates the production and supply of seamless and welded steel line pipes with an internal cladding layer (CRA Clad) or lining (Lined). This product line, supplied by EV Group China, is specifically designed for operation in critical conditions of oil, gas, and gas transmission infrastructure, where high corrosion resistance is required while maintaining the strength characteristics of the carbon steel base.
The design of the pipe is based on a robust carbon steel outer shell that withstands operating pressures, and an internal layer of corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) that ensures chemical inertness to the transported medium. EV Group China guarantees compliance with all base material parameters according to the API 5L specification (45th edition), PSL 2 quality level.
Strength classes and corrosion-resistant materials (CRA)
The supply range of EV Group China includes pipes of the following strength classes: X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70, X80, as well as intermediate values upon customer request.
High-alloy grades and alloys that ensure durability in aggressive environments are used as the cladding layer (CRA):
- Grades: LC 1812, 2205, 2506, 2242, 2262.
- UNS numbering system: S31703, N08904, N10276, N08031 (Alloy 31), N06059 (Alloy 59), S31254 (254SMO), N04400 (Alloy 400), N08367 (AL6NX), N08926 (EN 1.4529).
The possibility of using other alloy grades can be discussed individually when placing an order with EV Group China.
Geometric parameters and end preparation
Standard supplies involve pipes with perpendicular cut ends (square cut). Upon customer request, EV Group China can perform specialized beveling.
The range of nominal pipe sizes (NPS) according to API 5LD is from 25 mm (1 inch) to 2134 mm (84 inches). For projects requiring non-standard solutions, EV Group China delivers pipes with diameters up to 2500 mm (100 inches) in full compliance with the required physical and chemical properties of the materials.
