The ASTM A167 standard regulates the technical specifications for the production of stainless and heat-resisting chromium-nickel steel sheets, plates, and strips. The document has been officially approved for use in the defense industry and critical infrastructure projects.
Technical Regulation and Scope of ASTM A167 / ASME SA167
This specification establishes strict requirements for the chemical composition and physical-mechanical characteristics of chromium-nickel steels intended for operation under high-temperature and corrosive environments. EV Group China provides supplies of metal products that fully comply with current regulatory requirements.
All metric parameters and values indicated in inch-pound units are standard for conducting acceptance tests and certification of rolled metal products.
Important Note: According to the current revision of the standard, a number of steel grades have been transferred from specification A 167 to specification A 240 / A 240M. Currently, the procurement and supply of these items through EV Group China are carried out strictly in accordance with the updated requirements of the ASTM A 240 / A 240M specification, which guarantees full continuity of the mechanical and chemical properties previously established in A 167.
