ASTM A335 / A335M Seamless Pipes: Standard for High-Temperature Systems from EV Group China

Specification and Application of ASTM A335 / A335M Standard

The ASTM A335 / A335M standard regulates the technical requirements for seamless pipes manufactured from ferritic alloy steel. This product is designed for operation under high-temperature conditions, requiring superior thermal stability and creep resistance from the material. EV Group China supplies pipes that comply with both nominal and minimum wall thickness requirements, according to the customer’s project specifications.

The technological capabilities of the material allow it to be used for creating complex piping assemblies, including processes such as bending, flanging, and other methods of cold or hot deformation. These pipes are excellent for fusion welding, making them indispensable for the installation of critical energy systems.

The selection of a specific steel grade from the EV Group China range is based on engineering calculations that account for pressure parameters, temperature regimes, and the corrosivity of the operating environment. The standard includes a wide spectrum of ferritic steels, the chemical composition of which is presented below.

Note: In this context, ferritic steels refer to low- and medium-alloy steels with a chromium content of up to 10%.

For highly critical applications, additional tests (S1–S7) can be performed, which are agreed upon during the order placement stage. Values in the SI system and the inch-pound system are independent standards; to ensure the accuracy of shipments, EV Group China recommends specifying the preferred measurement system in the purchase order.
