Centrifugally Cast Pipes ASTM A451 / ASME SA 451: High-Temperature Austenitic Solutions from EV Group China

Technical specifications and application scope of pipes according to ASTM A451 / ASME SA 451 standard

The ASTM A451/ASME SA 451 standard regulates the production of centrifugally cast austenitic steel pipes. EV Group China products manufactured according to this specification are designed for operation in critical conditions, including high operating temperatures, high-pressure environments, and exposure to aggressive corrosive media.

The list of austenitic stainless steel grades approved for centrifugal casting production is systematized in Table 1.

Steel Grade Chemical composition and properties
CPH 2, CPH 8, CPH 9, CPH 10, CPH 20 Standard austenitic alloys for high-temperature loads

EV Group China engineers are prepared to implement additional customer requirements beyond standard tests, provided that testing protocols are agreed upon at the design stage.

Regulatory indicators are presented in two independent measurement systems: SI and inch-pound. These systems are autonomous. To ensure compliance with the standard, it is recommended to use one system without combining values to avoid calculation errors.

Important note: This standard does not apply to centrifugally cast pipes made of alloys with a carbon content exceeding 0.20%. For products in this category, technical requirements of the A297/A297M specification should be followed.
