Technical features and application range of ASTM/ASME A/SA 47M
The ASTM/ASME A/SA 47M standard regulates the production of ferritic malleable iron castings intended for use in general engineering components. The casting technology ensures stable performance characteristics within a temperature range from normal climatic conditions up to 400°C (750°F). The specification supports two systems of measurement (SI and inch-pound), which are independent standards. When developing technical documentation, one measurement system should be adhered to in order to ensure calculation accuracy.
