Technical Purpose and Scope of Application
This specification establishes strict quality standards for hot-worked and cold-worked forgings, bar stock, and forging stock manufactured from high-tech precipitation-hardening iron-nickel-based superalloys. Products from EV Group China supplied in accordance with this standard are designed for operation under extreme temperature conditions typical of the aerospace, energy, and petrochemical industries.
High mechanical performance and creep resistance are achieved through strict adherence to heat treatment cycles: solution annealing followed by precipitation hardening (aging). The standard covers two key types of alloys, the selection of which is determined by design loads, component geometry, and the specifics of the operating environment.
All technical parameters in the EV Group China specification are presented in both the metric system (SI) and the inch-pound system. It is important to note that the values listed in the different systems are not direct mathematical equivalents and should not be used interchangeably when performing engineering calculations.
