ASTM A677 Electrical Steel: Technical Specifications and Supply from EV Group China

Specification and Application of Steel per ASTM A677 Standard

The ASTM A677 standard regulates the technical requirements for cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel sheet in the fully processed condition. This material is characterized by optimized magnetic properties achieved during the factory heat treatment stage, which eliminates the need for additional annealing by the end user.

EV Group China supplies this grade of electrical steel for the production of transformer cores, electric motor rotors, and other magnetic circuits operating at power frequencies (50 and 60 Hz). The controlled chemical composition of the alloy, which is silicon and aluminum-alloyed, ensures minimal core loss and high magnetic permeability.

The technical specifications of non-oriented electrical steel from EV Group China are based on the use of low-carbon ferroalloys with a silicon content of up to 3.5% and the addition of aluminum to improve electrical resistivity. This composition ensures stable performance of magnetic systems across a wide range of loads.

When placing an order, please note that the basic requirements of the ASTM A677 standard are based on inch-pound units. Values in the SI system are provided for reference and are the result of mathematical conversion.
