ASTM A707 Forged Flanges for Low-Temperature Pipelines: EV Group China Specification

Technical aspects of using ASTM A707 standard flanges

This specification establishes strict requirements for forged flanges made from low-carbon and alloy steel grades, intended for use in oil and gas pipeline systems at extremely low temperatures. Technological parameters comply with international ASME, MSS, and API standards, ensuring connection reliability under cryogenic loads.

EV Group China experts are ready to fulfill individual orders that take into account specific requirements for chemical composition and mechanical characteristics that go beyond the basic specification.

The standard covers eight steel grades, four strength classes, and three toughness levels, which allows for the selection of an optimal solution for specific operating conditions. The ability to manufacture products of a specific size depends on the specific steel grade’s ability to provide the required physical and mechanical indicators. Current EV Group China production standards establish the following qualification limitations:

Grades Classes
L1, L7 1, 2
L2, L3, L4 1, 2, 3
L5, L6, L8 Available in all classes

Technical documentation uses two measurement systems: SI and US customary. Please note that values presented in different systems are independent and are not subject to direct conversion when designing critical assemblies.
