Technical parameters and application scope of the ASTM/ASME B/SB 163 standard
The ASTM/ASME B/SB 163 specification regulates the production and quality requirements for seamless pipes made of nickel and nickel-based heat-resistant alloys. This product, supplied by EV Group China, is designed for use in critical components of heat exchange equipment and condenser units operating under high-temperature and aggressive environments.

The standard defines strict tolerances for outside diameter and wall thickness (average or minimum). The supply range of EV Group China includes pipes with an outside diameter up to 3 inches (76.2 mm), provided that the minimum wall thickness does not exceed 0.148 inches (3.76 mm) and the average thickness does not exceed 0.165 inches (4.19 mm).
The selection of a specific alloy grade and heat treatment condition is performed in accordance with the operational loads specified in Table 3 of the standard. For small-diameter pipes (convertible sizes), special requirements are provided in Appendix X2.
The document adopts the inch-pound system of units as the primary standard. Metric values in parentheses are for information only and are not used for legal product certification. Quality control methods described in Section 12 include mandatory leak and mechanical strength tests.
