Copper Sheet and Plate per ASTM B171 / ASME SB 171 from EV Group China

Scope of Application

This specification regulates the technical requirements for copper alloy plate, sheet, and circular blanks. The products are intended for critical design and manufacturing of pressure vessels, as well as heat exchanger equipment and condenser units. EV Group China guarantees the supply of materials that fully comply with global quality and safety standards.

Important Note: Values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with certification requirements. EV Group China recommends using a single measurement system for a specific project.

Materials under this specification undergo a cycle of hot rolling or forging, followed by cold deformation and controlled annealing to achieve the required mechanical properties and geometric precision. Blanks are supplied in hot-rolled or hot-rolled and annealed conditions.

Products intended for application according to ASME standards (Boilers and Pressure Vessels) undergo mandatory certification in the hot-rolled and annealed condition. The specification establishes strict standards for chemical composition, alloy density, and tensile strength limits.
