Copper sheets and strips according to ASTM B370 standard: characteristics and application

Technical purpose and operational characteristics of the ASTM B370 standard

The ASTM B370 standard regulates strict requirements for the production and supply of copper sheets and strips, specifically developed for the needs of the modern construction industry. The material is optimized for roofing works, facade cladding, as well as for the production of high-quality gutter systems and downspouts that require increased corrosion resistance and ductility.

An important engineering limitation is the specialization of this rolled product: ASTM B370 sheets are not designed for operation in electrical components and are not intended for use as conductive elements.

Technical note: In case of the need to use lead-coated copper rolled products for construction objects, one should be guided by the ASTM B101 specification, which describes in detail the requirements for this type of protective layer.

EV Group China engineers ensure strict control of the compliance of the supplied rolled products with the physical and mechanical parameters set forth in ASTM B370, which guarantees the durability of roofing and facade structures in various climatic conditions.
