Technical Overview of the ASTM/ASME B/SB 425 Standard
The ASTM B425 specification (identical to ASME SB 425) regulates the requirements for the production and quality of nickel-iron-chromium-molybdenum-copper alloy bars. The standard covers the nomenclature of grades UNS N08825, UNS N08221, and UNS N06845, intended for the manufacturing of hot-rolled and cold-drawn products with various cross-sectional profiles: round, square, hexagonal, and rectangular.
EV Group China’s technological processes ensure strict compliance of metal products with this standard, guaranteeing high corrosion resistance in aggressive environments and stability of mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.
The documentation uses inch-pound units as the primary measurement system. Values in parentheses represent reference values in the SI system for the convenience of engineering calculations.
Note: The safety instructions set forth in Section 12 of this standard are mandatory for implementation during acceptance testing and product quality control.
