ASTM B441: Specification for Copper-Beryllium Rods and Bars

Technical specifications and application scope of ASTM B441

The ASTM B441 standard regulates the production of high-strength copper-beryllium alloy rods and bars intended for operation under conditions of high thermal loads and intense mechanical wear. EV Group China products meet strict criteria for chemical composition and physical-mechanical properties for the following alloy grades:

  • C17500: copper-cobalt-beryllium alloy;
  • C17510: copper-nickel-beryllium alloy;
  • C17465: copper-nickel-lead-beryllium alloy;
  • C17540: copper-nickel-cobalt-beryllium alloy.

EV Group China supplies copper-beryllium rolled products that have undergone precision thermomechanical processing. The following supply tempers are available:

  • TB00: solution annealed (A);
  • TF00: solution annealed and precipitation hardened (AT);
  • TD04: solution annealed and cold worked (H);
  • TH04: high-strength condition after aging (HT).

The entire product range undergoes mandatory instrumental inspection for compliance with chemical composition, electrical conductivity, and mechanical parameters, which ensures stability of characteristics in critical engineering assemblies and the electrical industry.
