Technical requirements according to ASTM B572 / ASME SB572 standard
This specification defines the regulatory requirements for the production of round bars made of heat-resistant nickel alloys UNS N06002, UNS N06230, UNS N12160, and UNS R30556. EV Group China products meet strict quality criteria for operation in extremely high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments.
The specification covers the following categories of metal products:
- Bars with diameters from 5⁄16 to 3⁄4 inches (7.94–19.05 mm) inclusive: produced by hot or cold working followed by solution annealing; final surface finish is pickling or mechanical descaling.
- Bars with diameters from 3⁄4 to 3 1⁄2 inches (19.05–88.9 mm) inclusive: manufactured by hot or cold working, undergo heat treatment (solution annealing), as well as grinding or final mechanical surface finishing.
The standard units of measurement in this documentation are inch-pounds. Values in parentheses (SI) are for reference purposes. EV Group China engineers recommend considering the physical and mechanical properties of materials according to current ASTM/ASME regulations when designing equipment components.
When working with these alloys, it is necessary to comply with safety protocols outlined in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). The use of these products requires a thorough assessment of operating conditions and chemical compatibility, which is the responsibility of the end user.
