ASTM B637 (ASME SB 637) Standard: Nickel Alloys for High-Temperature Loads

Technical features and scope of the ASTM B637 standard

The ASTM B637 specification defines strict requirements for the production of hot-worked and cold-worked bars, forgings, and forging stock of precipitation-hardening nickel alloys. Products supplied by EV Group China are adapted for operation under high temperatures and significant mechanical loads, making them indispensable in power engineering and the petrochemical industry.

When designing and purchasing, it should be noted that the basic parameters in the standard are provided in the inch-pound system. The values in SI units, shown in brackets, are for reference in engineering documentation. EV Group China ensures full compliance of the supplied metal products with the stated chemical and physical-mechanical characteristics.

Operational safety of finished assemblies and parts must be regulated by internal industry standards and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), which describe the specifics of working with high-alloy nickel alloys.

Important note: For equipment operating under pressure (boilers, autoclaves), the products must meet the requirements of ASME SB-637, as set forth in Section II of the ASME Code. EV Group China specialists are ready to provide consultations on selecting materials for these operating conditions.
