Technical Overview of ASTM B726 Standard
The ASTM B726 specification sets out a comprehensive set of technical requirements for the production, quality control, and operation of welded pipes manufactured from the high-alloy nickel-chromium-molybdenum-cobalt-tungsten-iron-silicon system (UNS N06333). This material belongs to the superalloy category and is designed for critical components where exceptional structural stability and chemical resistance are required in aggressive environments under extremely high temperature loads.
The manufacturing process for pipes at EV Group China is based on the use of flat-rolled products, which undergo automatic welding without the addition of filler materials. The entire production cycle concludes with mandatory heat treatment (annealing) to relieve internal stresses. In the case of final annealing in an inert gas environment (protective atmosphere), the process of additional chemical descaling may be excluded. To confirm compliance with physical and mechanical properties, each batch undergoes mandatory flattening and flaring tests.
