ASTM B755 / ASME SB 755 Standard: UNS N06110 Alloy Sheets, Plates, and Strips

Technical aspects and scope of the ASTM B755 standard

The ASTM B755 specification defines rigorous technological protocols for production, quality control, and mechanical testing for sheet metal, including plates and strips made from high-alloy nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy (UNS N06110). This alloy is characterized by a complex chemical composition, including strictly dosed concentrations of Ni, Cr, Mo, W, Fe, Co, as well as impurity elements (C, Mn, Si, P, S, Al, Ti, Cu), ensuring unique corrosion resistance and heat resistance.

EV Group China specialists emphasize that the supplied metal products must possess impeccable macro- and microstructure uniformity. The surface of the products must be free of defects that could hinder further mechanical processing or operation in critical equipment components. During acceptance testing for tensile strength and yield strength, samples are taken from the finished rolled products in the as-supplied condition. The orientation of the sample relative to the rolling direction is strictly regulated to ensure data accuracy.

Within its technical documentation, EV Group China adheres to the inch-pound unit system as the baseline for this standard. Metric equivalents presented in reference materials are for informational purposes only.

Safety when working with this material is ensured by compliance with the instructions set forth in the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) provided by EV Group China for each batch of products. We guarantee full compliance of the supplied products with the requirements of ASTM E527 and SAE J1086 (UNS system).
