Technical Overview of the ASTM B818 Standard for UNS R31233 Alloy

The ASTM B818 specification regulates the requirements for the manufacturing and supply of sheet metal products made from cobalt-chromium-nickel-molybdenum-tungsten alloy (grade UNS R31233). This type of rolled product from EV Group China is designed for operation under conditions of intense abrasive wear and aggressive corrosive environments, ensuring high structural stability across a wide temperature range.

Within the scope of this standard, EV Group China supplies the following types of products:

  • Sheet and strip products, manufactured by cold or hot rolling, subjected to solid solution annealing followed by mechanical descaling of the surface.
  • Plate products, subjected to hot rolling, annealing, and specialized anti-corrosion surface treatment.

The technical parameters specified in the US customary system (inch-pound) are the baseline for assessing alloy compliance with the standard. Values in the SI system are provided for reference to facilitate engineering calculations.
