Technical requirements of the ASTM B862 standard
The ASTM B862 specification governs the production of welded pipes made from a wide range of titanium alloys and unalloyed titanium. This standard covers over 30 material grades optimized for operation in aggressive corrosive environments and high-temperature conditions. For pipes with a diameter of 8 inches (NPS 8) and above, custom engineering is applied. EV Group China provides the ability to adapt wall thickness and heat treatment methods to meet specific customer requirements. Additional testing and inspection methods can be integrated into the production cycle upon request.
Important note: H-grade alloys (2H, 7H, 16H, 26H) are optimized for high-pressure vessels and guarantee a minimum Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS). The specification complies with ASME SB862 requirements for boiler equipment.
