DIN 59220: Technical regulations for hot-rolled checkered sheet

Technical requirements and scope of the DIN 59220 standard

This specification regulates the geometric tolerances and limit deviations of form for hot-rolled sheet metal with a checkered or textured surface. The standard applies to products made from non-alloy, alloy, and corrosion-resistant (stainless) steel grades that comply with the requirements of DIN EN 10025–6.1.

Rolled product parameters covered by the standard:

  • Nominal sheet thickness: from 3 mm to 10 mm inclusive.
  • Nominal width of rolled products: up to 2000 mm.

For detailed information on technical delivery conditions and material performance characteristics, it is recommended to refer to section 9 of the original documentation (taking into account the Al: 1993 amendments).

Important note: The provisions of this standard do not apply to round billets, sheets with complex geometric shapes, rolled-pattern metal, or wide-strip steel. To select optimal steel grades and check stock availability at EV Group China, please contact our engineers.
