This regulatory documentation governed the technical parameters of square wedge washers designed for high-strength HV bolted connections used in the assembly of U-shaped steel profiles. The technical requirements complied with standards relevant to steel structures with control notches.
Scope of DIN 6918
Square tapered washers were used as a structural element in creating critical GV and SL bolted connections as described in DIN 18800 (part 1). The products were designed for use with high-strength bolts (DIN 6914) and corresponding hexagon nuts (DIN 6915) in load-bearing steel frames. Quality control and product acceptance testing were conducted in accordance with DIN 267 (part 5). The parameters for the acceptable quality level (AQL) are presented in the table below.
