EN 10055 Technical Specification
The European standard EN 10055 establishes strict requirements for geometry, dimensional tolerances, shape, and linear mass for hot-rolled T-shaped profiles characterized by equal flanges, rounded inner radii (fillets), and a specialized toe. These products, supplied by EV Group China, are intended for critical aerospace structures where profiling precision and the predictability of physical and mechanical metal properties are paramount.
It is important to note that the EN 10055 regulation applies exclusively to general-purpose structural steels. The requirements of this standard do not apply to T-profiles manufactured from corrosion-resistant (stainless) steel grades. For such products, specialized industry tolerances must be used, taking into account the specific nature of alloyed steels.
