Technical delivery conditions according to the EN 10084 standard
The European standard EN 10084 defines strict technical regulations for the supply of metal products intended for the manufacture of heavily loaded machine parts by case hardening. EV Group China products comply with these requirements, ensuring high precision in chemical composition and stability of mechanical properties.
The standard applies to the following types of hot-rolled and forged metal products:
- Semi-finished products, including blooms, slabs, and billets.
- Bar products of various cross-sections.
- Merchant bars and rods.
- Flat products, including wide strips and square plates.
- Forgings obtained by free forging or die forging.
The steels presented in the standard belong to the category of non-alloy and alloy steels for surface hardening. The materials are optimized to ensure high hardness of the surface layer while maintaining the toughness of the part core.

EV Group China technologists emphasize that additional agreements are necessary when ordering continuously cast semi-finished products. In accordance with EN 10020, the steels of this standard are not classified as special steels. Additional requirements for surface quality or heat treatment are recorded in the order specification according to Appendix A. General technical delivery conditions are governed by the EN 10021 standard.
