Technical regulation EN 10113-2: performance characteristics and delivery conditions
The EN 10113-2 standard establishes strict requirements for hot-rolled structural steel products made of fine-grained structural steels, supplied in the normalized or normalized rolled condition. This specification, being a continuation of the first part of the standard, covers both flat and long products intended for critical welded metal structures.
EV Group China specialists emphasize that a key feature of steels according to EN 10113-2 is a controlled fine-grained structure, which ensures high toughness and ductility, which is critical for preventing brittle fracture of welded joints.
Thickness ranges and steel classification
The standardized indicators of mechanical properties and chemical composition, presented in industry tables, are relevant for the following thickness ranges:
- For steel grades S275, S355 and S420: nominal thickness of rolled products up to 150 mm inclusive.
- For steel grade S460: nominal thickness of rolled products up to 100 mm inclusive.
EV Group China ensures the supply of rolled metal products that fully comply with the chemical composition (according to Table 1) and mechanical properties (according to Tables 3, 4 and 5), which guarantees the stability of characteristics when performing welding work at facilities of increased complexity.
