EN 10149 Standard: Technical Requirements for High-Yield Strength Hot-Rolled Flat Steel for Cold Forming
EN 10149-1: General Technical Delivery Conditions
This European standard regulates the requirements for hot-rolled flat steel products with high yield strength intended for cold forming processes (bending, stamping). EV Group China ensures the supply of products that fully comply with these technical specifications.
The EN 10149-1 standard establishes the basic regulations for the entire series:
- EN 10149-2: Sets specifications for thermo-mechanically rolled steels.
- EN 10149-3: Defines requirements for steel grades supplied in normalized or normalized-rolled conditions.
It should be noted that this standard does not apply to steel products for pressure vessels, nor to specialized structural steels regulated by the EN 10025 and EN 10210 standards.
EN 10149-2: Thermo-mechanically Rolled Steels
Technical Parameters and Scope of Application
Part 2 of the standard sets strict requirements for weldable hot-rolled steels subjected to thermo-mechanical rolling. EV Group China products under this standard are characterized by high ductility combined with increased strength.
Thickness ranges for grades with specified yield strength:
| Yield Strength (N/mm²) | Thickness Range (mm) |
|---|---|
| 315 – 460 | 1.5 – 20 |
| 500 – 700 | 1.5 – 16 |
EN 10149-3: Normalized Hot-Rolled Steel
Features of the Normalized Condition
This part of the standard describes requirements for flat products that undergo normalization or normalized rolling to achieve a uniform fine-grained structure. This ensures stable mechanical properties throughout the entire cross-section of the sheet.
The specification applies to hot-rolled products in the nominal thickness range from 1.5 mm to 20 mm. Professional engineering support from EV Group China guarantees the selection of the optimal steel grade for specific cold stamping tasks.
