EN 10204 Standard: Classification of metal product quality control documents
The European standard EN 10204 defines the requirements for documentation confirming that metal products comply with established technical order specifications and regulatory documentation at the acceptance stage. Using this classification is critical for ensuring material traceability across the EV Group China supply chain.
Main types of documents according to EN 10204
The control system is divided into levels depending on the depth of inspection and the involvement of independent inspection bodies:
- Type 2.1 (Declaration of compliance with the order): A document in which the manufacturer certifies that the products are in compliance with the requirements of the order, without inclusion of test results.
- Type 2.2 (Test report): A document containing the results of non-specific tests (carried out on products manufactured using the same process, but not necessarily on the specific batch supplied).
- Type 3.1 (Inspection certificate): A document issued by an authorized representative of the manufacturer, who is independent of the manufacturing department. It includes the results of specific tests performed on the actual batch supplied.
- Type 3.2 (Inspection certificate): A document prepared by both the manufacturer’s representative and an independent inspector (third party) or a representative appointed by the purchaser. It confirms the compliance of the batch with the order requirements based on direct testing.
EV Group China strictly adheres to quality verification protocols, ensuring that every shipment is accompanied by a correctly issued certificate in accordance with contract requirements and international acceptance standards.
