Purpose and Scope of EN 10208-1

The European standard EN 10208-1 establishes current technical requirements for the production and supply of seamless and welded steel pipes intended for onshore transportation systems for combustible fluids, including gas distribution networks. This specification focuses on general-purpose pipelines where operational loads are lower than those specified in the EN 10208-2 standard. Technical Requirements and Specifics of EN 10208-2

The EN 10208-2 standard regulates higher requirements for quality, mechanical properties, and testing methods for seamless and welded pipes for onshore pipeline systems. Compared to Class A, this standard ensures higher reliability when operating under challenging conditions.
