EN 10292 Standard: Technical Specifications for High-Strength Cold-Forming Hot-Dip Coated Sheet

Technical aspects and scope of the EN 10292 standard

Please note that the current standard has been officially replaced by the updated EN 10346 specification. The information is provided for archival purposes and for working with existing project documentation.

The European standard EN 10292 regulates the technical delivery conditions for continuous hot-dip coated (Z) sheet metal, including zinc-iron (ZF), zinc-aluminum (ZA), aluminum-zinc (AZ), or aluminum-silicon (AS) coatings. The standard covers high-strength steels optimized for cold forming and bending processes, with a nominal thickness of the finished product up to 3.0 mm.

The provisions of this regulation apply to steel strip of any width, sheet metal with a width of 600 mm or more, as well as narrow strip (slit strip) with a width of less than 600 mm, obtained by longitudinal slitting.

Products manufactured according to this standard are in demand in industries where a combination of high corrosion resistance and excellent formability at an increased yield strength is critical. EV Group China provides steel supplies that meet the most stringent engineering requirements to ensure the reliability of your structures.
