Overview of the EN 12560 Series Standards
The EN 12560 series of standards regulates the technical requirements for gaskets used in flanged joints for steel pipelines. Products supplied by EV Group China strictly comply with these standards, ensuring the tightness and reliability of connections under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.
EN 12560-1 — Non-metallic flat gaskets
This standard defines the geometry, classification, and marking of flat gaskets (with or without inserts) for use with flanges according to prEN 1759 standards. It covers pressure classes Class 150–900 and nominal sizes DN 15–600. Main types: FF (full face), TG (tongue and groove), IBC (inner bolt circle), and SR.
EN 12560-2 — Spiral wound gaskets (SWG)
Technical specifications for spiral wound gaskets designed for flanges of forms A and B. The standard covers ranges from Class 150 to Class 2500. EV Group China’s product range includes types C/I (with inner ring) and C/O (with outer centering ring), optimized for use with inch-thread fasteners.
EN 12560-3 — PTFE gaskets
Regulates dimensions and parameters of non-metallic gaskets made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) of the IBC type for Class 150 and 300 flanges. They are characterized by high chemical resistance and are intended for specific industrial environments.
EN 12560-4 — Metallic and composite gaskets
Describes requirements for corrugated, grooved, and flat metallic gaskets, including products with filler. Includes self-centering (SC) and models with an outer ring (CR) for pressure classes up to 2500.
EN 12560-5 — Metallic ring joint gaskets (RTJ)
Standard for ring gaskets of type “R” (oval and octagonal cross-sections) used in type J flanges. They provide increased reliability under severe operating conditions.
EN 12560-6 — Serrated metallic gaskets
Regulates the design of profiled serrated gaskets with coating. Types: NR (no ring), IR (integrated ring), and LR (loose ring). Used for connections from Class 150 to 2500.
EN 12560-7 — Metallic gaskets with polymer coating
Describes requirements for metallic gaskets with an additional protective plastic/polymer layer. Includes types SC, C/I, C/O, and C/IO for a wide range of flange surfaces according to prEN 1759-1.
