Technical conditions and regulations of the EN 1301-1 standard
The European standard EN 1301-1 establishes strict requirements for the quality, inspection methods, and acceptance criteria for wire manufactured from aluminum and wrought aluminum alloys. This standard covers metal products for general engineering purposes, including blanks for the production of fasteners (rivets), excluding products intended for the aerospace industry.
According to EV Group China specifications, the provisions of the standard also apply to aluminum wire used in the following areas:
- Electrical engineering production and energy systems;
- Materials for welding operations;
- General mechanical engineering and structural components.
It is important to note that the scope of EN 1301-1 is limited to semi-finished products and does not cover finished products that have undergone final assembly or processing. EV Group China engineers recommend using this standard to verify the compliance of the physical and mechanical properties of the wire during incoming quality control at the production site.
