EN 1982 Standard: Technical Requirements for Copper Alloys and Castings

Technical Regulation EN 1982: Standardization of Copper Alloys and Castings

The international standard EN 1982 defines strict regulatory requirements for the chemical composition, physico-mechanical characteristics, and operational properties of copper alloys. This standard regulates sampling procedures and product quality verification, ensuring full compliance with the stated technical indicators.

The EN 1982 standard applies to the following categories of products supplied by EV Group China:

  • Copper alloy ingots: raw material billets intended for subsequent remelting and the manufacturing of high-precision castings.
  • Finished copper and alloy castings: products that do not require additional machining. The production technology includes sand casting, centrifugal casting, continuous casting methods, and permanent mold casting.

To optimize design and procurement processes, EV Group China recommends referring to Annex A for the formation of order specifications. Additional test protocols and non-destructive testing methods for ingots are described in detail in Annex B, allowing engineers to guarantee the reliability of products in critical equipment assemblies.
