Technical standards and scope of EN 558
The EN 558 technical documentation was developed by the CEN/TC 69 technical committee, which is responsible for the standardization of industrial valves. Coordination and secretariat management for this standard are carried out by the French Association for Standardization (AFNOR). EV Group China specialists use these specifications to ensure complete component interchangeability in engineering networks.
This regulation is based on the international ISO 5752 standard and is divided into two key segments that provide design flexibility:
- EN 558-1: Establishes unified face-to-face dimensions for flanged metal valves classified by nominal pressure (PN).
- EN 558-2: Regulates face-to-face dimension parameters for valves classified by pressure classes (Class).
The application of EN 558 standards in the production processes of EV Group China ensures that shut-off and control valves meet the rigorous requirements of industrial pipelines, minimizing risks during installation and operation.
